In K14, the artist is still wearing the same luminescent suit, as he moves further out into the world, into Sopnica Jelkovec, a pre-constructed district of Zagreb that was originally slated to become an affordable housing area for young people. Over the years, the project passed through the hands of various property developers and political administrations, but it was eventually left unfinished...

Novi projekt

K14, 2010, HD video 12' 5". U K14 umjetnik još uvijek nosi isto svjetleće odijelo, krećući dalje u svijet, do Sopnice Jelkovec, gradske četvrti Zagreba urbanistički zamišljene kao stambeno naselje financijski dostupno mladima. Tijekom godina taj je projekt prolazio kroz ruke raznih developera i političkih uprava, no na kraju je ostao nedovršen. U ovom je trenutku Sopnica Jelkovec nedefinirana: stanovi izgrađeni ondje iznajmljeni su uz povlaštenu stanarinu etničkim manjinama i drugim društvenim skupinama koje imaju malo toga zajedničkog. Bez društvene infrastrukture i odgovarajućeg javnog prijevoza, to je područje ostalo odsječeno na rubu grada. The starting point for this exhibition was the world of difference that exists between the cities of Bruges and Warsaw. While Bruges has survived through the centuries, in WWII Warsaw was devasta­ted, then carefully reconstructed. Polish artists provided the point of departure. From there the exhibition opens up in a number of simultaneous directions, including artists from Germany, Austria, Croatia, Albania, Czech Republic... even extending the scope to the origins of American Pop Art, and ending with the work of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. The exhibition curated by Luc Tuymans and Tommy Simoens, gives a unique vision of the arts...
